This is my first post. On a whim, I decided to create a personal website. It will probably end up being a mix of both professional and personal posts, a place to share my thoughts and connect the different kinds of things I am involved in.

Maybe you are here because you know me already, or maybe we’ve never met. Either way, here’s a little background about me. I am the owner of the independent publishing company Eraserhead Press and its imprints Deadite Press, LF Press, Fungasm Press and the New Bizarro Author Series. I’ve been involved in editing and publishing fiction for the past 20 years. I acquire, edit, design, and publish the coolest and weirdest books in the world and work with the most creative people I can find. I’m actively involved in horror, science fiction, and bizarro genre circles and love building community. I’m a member of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) and the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), The Smith College Alumnae Association, and Toastmasters International. I sponsor the genre hub website BizarroCentral.com and I’m the director of the annual art/fiction gathering BizarroCon. I also enjoy weird movies, social dancing (Argentine Tango, Ecstatic, Salsa), playing ukulele, homebrewing, gardening, cooking, swimming, hiking, meditating and getting together with other creative people of all types.

  3. After being refused entry a number of times, I skipped the “safety” check somehow and now I’m here. Yay internet that giveth and taketh away! But I feel a bit paranoid that the www is gonna crash soon.

    In the meantime, if this is the last thing I ever see online, I will die reasonably happy.

Rose O’Keefe is an editor, publisher, community organizer, and event director. She is the owner of Eraserhead Press, the leading publishing house of bizarro fiction and a recipient of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) Specialty Press Award.
